- Refrigeration is the process absorbing heat from one object.
- Best method to continuously remove heat from one object is produce a continuous stream of liquid which is colder than object.
- Throttling - This phenomenon is the most effective way of producing cold liquid continuously.
- Evaporator - The cold liquid so produced is passed through a heat exchanger called evaporator, which is in contact with the object which has to cooled. Here heat will be transferred from object to cold liquid via evaporator.
- Compressor - Here pressure of fluid is raised to higher level .During this process temperature of the fluid, which is in vapor state raises (which is inevitable.
- Condenser- In order to bring working fluid back to the original state (state before throttling) heat has to be rejected from it. This is accomplished using a heat exchanger called condenser. The complete process diagram of refrigeration is shown in figure below.
